Pancakes in Amsterdam Zuid A traditional pancake house in Oud-Zuid, walking distance from the Museumplein. Pancakes on the edge of De Pijp The Ruysdaelstraat sits exactly on the border of De Pijp and Oud-Zuid. Eating near the Museumplein The Museumplein is a few minutes on foot. The craft

Heritage flour from the De Ruiter mill The batter in both restaurants is made with heritage flour from the De Ruiter windmill on the Vecht in Vreeland. What else comes into the house Besides the flour from De Ruiter we work with a handful of suppliers we have stayed with for years.

The history

The Le Garage building For decades this was Joop Braakhekke’s culinary domain. Hendrik van Vianden and castle Vredelant Bishop Hendrik van Vianden granted Vreeland its town rights in 1265 and built castle Vredelant there.
