Pancakes in Amsterdam Zuid
A traditional pancake house in Oud-Zuid, walking distance from the Museumplein. The same batter as in Vreeland, from heritage flour from the De Ruiter windmill.
Since December 2025 we bake in Amsterdam Zuid the pancake Vreeland has been known for since 1967, with five-grain heritage flour from the mill on the Vecht.
The menu goes further than pancakes: classics such as croquettes from Van Dobben and Holtkamp, fried eggs on bread, toasties, salads, a Black Angus steak, classic saté, and changing seasonal dishes. Children have their own menu, and there is a little puppet theatre.
We are on the border of Oud-Zuid and De Pijp. Trams 3, 5 and 12 stop three minutes away at the Roelof Hartplein.
