For decades this was Joop Braakhekke’s culinary domain. Since December 2025 we bake pancakes here.
Few buildings in Amsterdam have a past as clear as Ruysdaelstraat 50-56. For decades Le Garage was where the city came to look at itself.
Since December 2025 we have been baking pancakes here. After a thorough renovation the building feels like an old-fashioned Dutch house, with an old aquarium, a fireplace and wooden details.
The building now has two rooms that can be closed off from one another, a bar with a chequered floor, a light room under the roof and a stove for the winter.
